According to the “Huffington Post” reported, that many people think that search is a simple action, enter the phrase and get the result, and then to find the necessary in the blue links page by page. But Microsoft’s new search engine Bing director Stefan Weitz recently said that in the search experience, we should expect more. He criticized the “traditional” search engine could not keep up with changes in user needs, has always insisted on the original search mode, it uses algorithms to measure the reverse link.

Stefan Weitz said: “When Google launched, they wanted to organize the world’s information, that was their mantra, and still is. In the past, this is a good vision, at that time the network was documents, text pages and links. Google’s mission was to fully use the links, and then say, ‘Well, I can see the links of the two pages, to define what these things about, it is almost as important as the content’, this is a very clever Model.”

But after ten years, this model does not work. Stefan weitz thinks that today’s amount of information is quite different, people are more active, and this makes the simple search is not effective.

Stefan Weitz said: “In the past 12 years, the search is unchanged essentially. Traditional search is going bad. The concept of search is no longer valid, from the web pages, the reverse link and all in all to find text no longer be serving.”

Google added more social features in the search, such as +1 function. For this function Stefan Weitz didn’t believe this could play a special role. He said: “+1 just only making a fuss in the search results today, I do not particularly like the search results. I like the site, but do not like the results themselves. I do not know how much help it has for let people like the results.”
